Iraneth, a gold dragon and childhood friend of Elias took him in, raised him away from Dunrath and taught him how to coontrol his power.He built a cottage away from civilisation, where Paul surprised him with his presence. He fell in love at first sight, and made it his mission to cure Paul's curse - so far unsuccessful and with one deadly mistake.His power makes it hard for him to be around other humanoids but for Paul's sake he often puts up with it. He also knows how to deal with undead problems - making that his very thankless job to supply for his needs. During those travels he's learned to deal with all kinds of monsters, curses and problems.He is calm and collected, an intelligent introvert that is quite clumsy - unless he's in his element. He's also a huge romantic and loves to pamper the ones he loves.

Though not usually the charity type, the hag Datura took him in and re-taught him everything from speaking to walking as he had completely lost his memory.She also transformed him. He is now bound to this "mother" of his, potentially one day turning into a hag as well. She has taught him some of her secrets, but not all so he would not become more powerful than her.She is an abusive mother, but since Ferox doesn't know better, he sees it as love. His "childhood" with her was frought with danger.Ferox hasn't seen civilisation much. He is dirty most of the time, and wary of strangers - only befriending a feral elf that lives in the swamp too. When he goes to civilisation, he pretends to be blind, curring favour and pity from others.He has moonflower curse markings on his body that have grown over the century he's been with Datura. She has been able to slow their growth, but even with her power is unable to remove them. Neither knows what will happen once they cover his body.
